Marlow Navigation Ukraine has received two awards at the recent National Maritime Rating held in Odessa, including “Employer of the Year” and “Loyalty of the Year”.

Marlow Navigation Ukraine has won two nominations at the 11th National Maritime Rating held in Odessa on March 23, recognised as “Employer of the Year” and “Loyalty of the Year” among all crewing companies in Ukraine.

The first award is based on recruitment, employing the largest number of Ukrainian seafarers throughout the year, whilst the second measured on retention, employing the largest number of seafarers serving with the same company for 10 years and more.

The awards were received by Managing Director, Captain Boris Ezri and Deputy Managing Director, Sergey Khlopkov. “We are honoured to be once again recognised for our achievement as a crewing company. This award is symbolic of the continued dedication and hard work from our Ukrainian seafarers and staff ashore, as well as the support of our management offices and ship-owning clients,” said Captain Ezri. “Ukraine is well recognised as a leading seafaring country and at Marlow represents the largest source for officers on-board crew managed vessels. We are very proud to represent and continue this tradition,” he added.

The National Maritime Rating are held each year and organised by the magazine Ports of Ukraine and by the information-analytics center Black Sea Trans. Rating awards have 24 nominations for Ukrainian Maritime business, port terminals operators, agents, stevedoring companies, shipping, crewing companies.

The winners of the majority of nominations are defined according to the results of ratings, which are created on the basis of the enterprise working data. The rating is carried with a support of Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, as well as other important stakeholders, including the Association “Ukrport”, an alliance of port operators, International Forwarding Agents of Ukraine Association, Sea Agents of Ukraine Association, Black Sea International Shipowners Association (BINSA).

“I congratulate Marlow Navigation Ukraine for this distinguishing achievement and two awards. This is a sign of appreciation for the wonderful job done by the company in providing stable jobs at sea for thousands of Ukrainians, and contributing to sustaining Ukraine’s position as a leading seafaring country,” stated Rector of National University – Odessa National Maritime Academy, Professor M. Miusov who was also on the judging panel for the awards.
