Aiding Seafarers on their Assignment at Sea

Marlow Navigation has recently released the fourth version of the Pre Departure Briefing (PDB V4) for seafarers.

Our company has been creating its own PDB to ensure that all appropriate topics are covered prior to seafarer’s deployment.

Revised annually, this is a unique resource that aims to familiarise crew with company ideas, procedures and requirements, including updates to maritime rules, policies, and regulations.

Meanwhile, content is carefully chosen per rank and put together as concisely as possible, so that all are able to use it as an efficient and easy learning tool for their daily work. This year’s PDB also includes additional lively presentations, using multimedia to deliver content in a more interesting and exciting way, as well as a presentation on seafarers’ wellbeing.

Finally, thanks to the valuable feedback provided by crew since the last edition, this PDB has been further enhanced, such as with the standardisation of the various case studies reflecting on common mistakes and incidents.

We certainly welcome ongoing feedback so as to ensure the PDB continues to progress and be an effective and useful tool. Feel free to share any constructive comments, ideas and suggestions on how to make it a better learning experience at pdb 'at' marlow.com.cy

For further guidance and support with the PDB, please contact our local manning agency here in Ukraine.
