Marlow Navigation Ukraine successfully participated at the VI International forum Seafarers Education, Training & Crewing, held 10-11 May in Odessa.

The international forum is an established event, jointly organised by National University Odessa Marine Academy and the Exhibition Complex of Odessa Commercial Sea Port.

Many major industry organisations also participated and gave presentations, such as the International Federation of transport workers (ITF), The International Maritime Employers' Council (IMEC), International Maritime Organization (IMO), International Federation of Shipmasters' Associations (IFSMA), Sailors' society, the International Association of Marine Universities (IAMU), International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), and The Nautical Institute addressed this year forum.

A number of round table discussions also take place during the event, covering many current topics and important issues facing international shipping and maritime, including:

  • Global shipping now and tomorrow
  • Human Factor, Fatigue and Seafarers' wellbeing
  • Issues and priorities with regards to policies and codes
  • Upcoming Challenges for Crewing, and
  • Education, Training and Certification

Overall, the forum brings together the industry’s leading players in seafarer recruitment, crewing and training in Ukraine, and provides an ideal platform to discuss important issues and developments.
