Maritime State University (MSU) in Russia held its 60th regatta on May 17, supported by Marlow Navigation Vladivostok.
The traditional competition started with wind force at 6 m/s, and ended with stable 8.5 m/s, sometimes gusts of wind reached 12 m/s. Two yawls of first-grade cadets went down from the last race distance. The most persistent and purposeful students passed the distance and crossed line. No doubt, a good shot of adrenaline.
After race competitions were over, cadets took part in the traditional marine game "tug of war". Winners were awarded with cakes from Marlow Navigation Vladivostok.
The Regatta ceremony and presentation of awards took place May 24 at the parade grounds of MSU. Meanwhile, certificate of Appreciation was presented to General Director, Marlow Navigation Vladivostok, Dmitry Shchadin.
"The annual MSU Regatta is always full of excitement and challenge for cadets. This year was especially symbolic considering its 60th year. We as Marlow Navigation Vladivostok are very proud to be a longstanding supported of this event, and look forward to many more great competitions," stated Shchadin.
