Dear Captains, seafarers, staff members, clients and associates,
We are pleased to communicate with you, once again, to share our thoughts and concerns about the uncertainty that is still happening due to the Covid-19 developments. The whole world is witnessing unprecedented situations without being really in the position to concretely predict the final outcome of this pandemia. At the moment, we are living through a global crisis and we are taking all those decisions that we consider necessary to minimise possible damage.
We have previously informed you that due to the known international travel prohibitions, limitations in domestic movements and other related restrictions imposed by so many Countries, we had to postpone all scheduled crew changes until the 15th of April 2020.
Unfortunately, the situation has not changed, obliging us therefore to a further postponement of crew changes until the 5th of May 2020. We hope that by then, all the restrictive measures will be relaxed to such an extent that crew replacements will be carried out without endangering at any given time the health and the well-being of our seafarers.
We are confident that you will understand the reasons for such a decision and we fully rely on your continual support.
We want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to all our seafarers for their hard work and sacrifices they make in keeping the shipping industry very active. The whole humanity needs now more than ever before the unobstructed supply of all goods transported by ships, such as food, fuel, medicine and all other consumables that maintain our lives.
We feel obliged to say a very big “THANK YOU” to all our mariners for their loyalty, commitment and patience demonstrated under the current circumstances. We all think of you and we all collectively work hard to overcome the present difficult situation the soonest possible.
Lastly, as Easter is approaching we would like to wish you and your families “Happy Easter”.
