The event took place on the 15th of October in Kherson, Ukraine and coincided with the annual inauguration ceremony of new cadets into KSMA. Present at the event were officials from local and central government, International Maritime Employers Council (IMEC), representatives from Marlow Navigation Ukraine and Marlow corporate head office in Cyprus, the media, as well as other shipping companies.
Marlow Navigation Ukraine was recently awarded as company of year 2016 in the field of economic activity and employment facilitation.
The company was presented with the internationally-recognised certificate "Leader of the branch 2016" for its contribution to Ukrainian economic development, and presented in Kiev at a central concert hall.
"It is a great honour to be recognised for our company’s contribution to the country’s economic development. Ukraine is a vital source of seafarers for the world’s maritime sector, especially officers, and Marlow Ukraine plays a major part in this," stated Managing Director, Marlow Navigation Ukraine, Captain Boris Ezri. "This award shows that our good work and service is not only well noticed, but also well appreciated by the State," he added.
Ukraine is also the leading provider of Management Level and Operational Level officers to the Marlow crew managed fleet worldwide.
The award is organised annually by the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, drawing up a ranking of Ukrainian commercial companies as based on data from its statistical information and analytical centre.
As part of the award ceremony, four Marlow Navigation Ukraine employees were also presented with badges of Honour and certificates for their outstanding and high level of professionalism, perfect and conscientious performance of duties, successful and optimal solutions, and significant individual contribution to the company.
