Marlow Ukraine FAQs
What are your office opening hours
Opening hours for our offices throughout Ukraine are weekdays from 09:00 until 18.00.
In case you are an applicant and you would like to arrange your test at one of our offices, please report to your nearest location in Ukraine with at least one day notice.
What is the pay scale for seafarers
Official Marlow wage scale for officers contains a type of seniority system for long-serving crew. However, Marlow’s standard pay scale does not apply for every vessel, therefore employment offers are always subject to a case-by-case basis and agreement.
What social security is available during employment period and after
The respective Social Security benefits for Ukrainian crew at Marlow are described in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement or Terms and Conditions. Seafarers are given the opportunity to review these documents prior to employment.
Does the company offer training possibilities
At Marlow, we are committed to seafarer training and development, as it is the foundation to quality and safety crewing, as well as employee career progression and satisfaction. As such, we have a wide range of training and upgrading courses throughout our various locations around the world. This includes Computer Based Training (CBT) at our offices, classroom teaching, and English language-specific courses. Some of these are mandatory, whilst others are optional. We are also always open to consider additional training options for our Ukrainian seafarers when available.
In Ukraine, we have extensive seafarer training activities, including the latest upgrading at our Ukrainian Training Centres, as well as a unique and leading cadet programme at Kherson State Maritime Academy (KSMA).
Does Marlow employ seafarers without seagoing experience
Unfortunately we cannot offer employment for applicants who do not have seagoing experience. Candidates are chosen based on their qualifications, experience and professional competence. Cadets who are students of our partner maritime universities and academies are obvious exceptions here.
What type of vessels do we normally recruit seafarers to work on
The majority of our seafarers, Ukrainian and globally, are recruited to work on-board dry cargo vessels, including (but not limited to) container ships, multipurpose vessels, heavy lifters, bulkers and coasters. We also have employment opportunities on-board some tankers, as well as in the offshore sector.
