Thirty years ago, Marlow Navigation Philippines began with a simple goal: to serve seafarers and support their careers at sea.
This year, as we celebrate our 30th Anniversary, marked during a townhall gathering at our offices in Manila, we found ourselves reflecting not only on how far the company has come over the years, but also on the people and communities that have been part of this journey.
Milestones like this naturally invite celebration, but they also give us a chance to look beyond ourselves. That’s why, as part of our anniversary, we chose to focus more on giving something back to the communities that have been part of our story, with initiatives that create a positive impact in the lives of others.
Earlier in the year, Marlow Philippines donated computers to several schools, foundations, and local communities. Some of these computers found a new home in classrooms, while others were given to students who could use them for learning outside school hours.
One of the beneficiaries was Aurora A. Quezon Elementary School, which received 50 pre-loved computer units and peripherals. Thirty-two units were installed in the school’s E-Room, while the remainder were allocated for students to use at home, providing greater access to digital learning opportunities.
Marlow Philippines also donated PHP 200,000 and 30 computer units to Pangarap Foundation, supporting its long-standing work with street children and out-of-school youth. Meanwhile, Kaibigan Ermita Outreach Foundation, Inc. (KEOFI) received financial assistance and computer equipment to further its educational programmes for underserved children and families. Supporting their efforts felt like a natural extension of our own belief that investing in people creates lasting impact.
The anniversary initiatives also extended to several barangays in Sta. Ana, Manila. Computer units were donated to Barangays 873, 879, and 884 to support community programmes and services. While technology alone cannot solve every challenge, access to the right tools can help communities become more connected, efficient, and prepared for the future.
Looking back, these projects remind us that growth is most meaningful when it is shared. The past three decades have been shaped by the trust of our seafarers and their families, the dedication of our employees, and the support of our partners. We would not be celebrating this milestone without you all.
These initiatives reflect Marlow’s long-standing belief in investing in people and creating opportunities beyond the workplace. As the company enters its fourth decade here in the Philippines, it remains committed to supporting seafarers and their families, serving with purpose, strengthening local communities, and making a positive and lasting impact wherever it operates.
To everyone who has been part of our story, THANK YOU! The last 30 years have been remarkable, and we look forward to continuing this journey together.
