Providing an insight to maritime training throughout the Marlow global network, as well as upcoming industry trends

We are pleased to release the 2021 edition of the Marlow Training Journal.

Each year, this publication covers the most recent news and events in training around the Marlow network, including a look at some of the newly installed equipment and facilities at partner training centres, new courses and webinars, as well as our company’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to date.

We also present a number of feature articles from industry experts that focus on current and upcoming trends and developments in maritime training. In this year’s edition, the Marlow opinion piece looks at the transformation between the conventional and the digital in seafarer training and learning, and the way forward towards achieving a better balance.

Meanwhile, an analysis piece from ChartWorld International looks at safe voyage planning, whilst NauticBlue explores training opportunities in VR, with the creation of the new innovative Blue vessel simulator in collaboration with Marlow.

Finally, the one-on-one interview this year is with Electrical Engineer and Trouble Shooting Ships’ Automation (TSA) executive trainer, who gives us his take on how to ensure marine engineers continue to maintain the necessary level of skills and competence.
