We are proud to congratulate seven Marlow Navigation colleagues who have successfully completed their postgraduate studies at Frederick University in Cyprus.
Six colleagues – Illya Bronnikov, Maria Vasiliou, Nikolaos Bonetis, Dario Sacabon, George Odysseos, and Gligorije Vasic – graduated with an MSc in International Trade and Shipping Management, while Rafaella Georgiou earned her MSc in Marine Engineering Management.
Each of them balanced rigorous academic demands with their professional responsibilities at Marlow, demonstrating exceptional dedication and perseverance. Their remarkable achievements are a source of inspiration, and a powerful reminder of the value of continuous learning.
These academic accomplishments were made possible through the Marlow-sponsored postgraduate scholarship programme, which supports the ongoing professional development of employees. Since its launch in 2022, the scholarship has been awarded to 17 colleagues.
We are proud to extend special recognition to Crew Training Supervisor, Nikos Bonetis, and Environmental Officer, Rafaella Georgiou, for their outstanding academic achievements. Both were awarded Best Academic Performance in their respective programmes — a testament to their dedication and excellence.
Their awards were presented by Professor Nikolaos Papaioannou, Deputy Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports of Greece (responsible for Higher Education) and former Rector of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, during a recent ceremony held in Nicosia.
In addition, we warmly congratulate Dario Sacabon from Crew Operations, who received the Best Thesis Award for the MSc in International Trade and Shipping Management. Dario began his studies in Cyprus and, despite family circumstances, successfully completed the programme remotely from Marlow Philippines in Manila – a remarkable achievement demonstrating resilience and commitment.
