Shipping companies all over the world join forces to create more awareness about the important work of seafarers.

Seafarers Delivering Christmas 2020

The global shipping industry has come together with a campaign to support and create more awareness about the importance of seafarers, especially during the holiday season - #SeafarersDeliveringChristmas 2020.

Supported also by the International Chamber of Shipping and the International Maritime Organization (IMO), this initiative brings the world’s shipping community together to support seafarers as they celebrate the end-of-year holidays.

Seafarers are key workers who have worked tirelessly to keep nations supplied with all the basic essential throughout the pandemic, and in essence deliver Christmas to everyone. The campaign ensures they receive the international awareness and support they deserve for their vital work.

The UN International Labour Organisation (ILO) also recently adopted a resolution on the urgent need to implement measures to allow crew changes, classify seafarers as key workers, and provide medical care to seafarers in need.

The #SeafarersDeliveringChristmas campaign presents a great opportunity for the global shipping community to unite and show its appreciation and care for these keyworkers.

It has been a challenging year for all, most especially for seafarers. On behalf of the entire Marlow Group, we would like to thank you, our crew, for your ongoing understanding, commitment and dedication to your work at sea, and even more so during this year’s difficulties, when your essential work has no doubt been a pillar of strength for the world.

We would like to express our best wishes for Christmas, with hope, health and wellbeing, together with a brighter and more encouraging year ahead.
