We are proud to announce that Andreas Neophytou, Joint Managing Director of Marlow Navigation, has been elected President of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber (CSC) for the 2025-2027 term.

The election took place during the CSC’s Annual General Meeting earlier this week, attended by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, CSC Director General Alexandros Josephides, and other esteemed guests.

Neophytou previously served as Vice-President of the Chamber. His election reflects strong confidence in his leadership, commitment, and strategic vision for Cyprus’s maritime sector.

With the industry undergoing rapid transformation – driven by digitalisation, environmental regulations, and a global shortage of skilled seafarers – his presidency comes at a pivotal time. Key priorities for the term include advancing green shipping initiatives, strengthening crew welfare, attracting new talent both at sea and ashore, and investing in maritime workforce development.

To maintain Cyprus’s competitive edge, continued forward-thinking leadership focused on innovation, resilience, and enhanced public-private and international collaboration will be essential.

The newly elected CSC Board of Directors will play a central role in shaping the Chamber’s agenda and ensuring it remains responsive to industry needs. Marlow Navigation extends its congratulations to all new board members and looks forward to their contributions in supporting a sustainable, forward-looking maritime cluster here in Cyprus.

For decades, the CSC has played a vital role in shaping national maritime policy and enhancing Cyprus’s position in the global shipping arena. Under Neophytou’s leadership, the Chamber is well-positioned to continue driving progress and growth.
