Marlow Offshore and SeaZip Offshore Service have launched a Joint Venture, MarZip Offshore Personnel, to provide ad hoc services in offshore wind recruitment.
Rhoon/Rotterdam-based Marlow Offshore, a subdivision of the Marlow Group, will contribute the required recruitment and staffing skills. Harlingen-based SeaZip Offshore Service, which works on projects in the offshore wind, oil and gas industry, is responsible for maritime and logistic support.
“This consolidation of strengths of Marlow and SeaZip responds to the increasing demand for a single point of contact and cost effective solution for project-based offshore staffing solutions. Both Marlow and SeaZip know the operational processes and the inherent quality and safety standards from within,” stated Managing Director, Marlow Offshore, Frans Roelse.
MarZip Offshore Personnel will focus on international recruitment, contracting, personnel management, planning and coordination, safety trainings and maritime/logistic management. MarZip also puts together customer- and project-specific pools, which are international and multi-disciplinary.
Stephan Nunnink will manage Netherlands-based MarZip Offshore Personnel, which will provide qualified professionals in all areas of offshore wind, including planning and inspection, technicians and electricians, vessel coordination and health and safety.
“MarZip combines the best of two worlds. We have 24/7 access to a global network of immediately available offshore professionals. Thanks to our active involvement in the offshore world and knowledge of the operational processes, we know how to screen staff for each project and vacancy. We provide both capacity and flexibility,” said Nunnink.
