Offering employment to a number of KSMA cadets each year

Netbooks Awarded to New KSMA Cadets

Since 2006, Marlow Navigation has been cooperating closely with Kherson State Maritime Academy (KSMA), Ukraine. A vital part of this cooperation is offering employment to a number of cadets each year, jointly selected by representatives of the academy and Marlow Navigation Ukraine.

This year, the agreement is for 60 Deck cadets, 24 Engine cadets and 4 Electrical cadets. As a token of appreciation, the successfully selected cadets were also awarded with a special ‘Marlow Netbook’, installed with dynamic studying material to support their education throughout long training at sea in between terms.

The selection of the cadets took place between the 9th and 12th of February, followed by the awarding ceremony on the 15th of February in the celebration hall of KSMA.

The ceremony was conducted by the Rector of KSMA, Prof Volodymyr F. Khodakovskiy and was attended by Managing Director, Marlow Navigation Ukraine, Capt. Boris Ezri, as well as representatives of Marlow’s head office in Cyprus, including Director of Crewing, Capt Frank Brodersen and Crew Training Manager Capt Martin Bankov.

"The ceremony was a great event and real pleasure to see and feel the enthusiasm of the selected cadets who are now proudly looking forward to launching their career on the Marlow fleet," stated Brodersen. "We wish them all the success for their future careers."
