A Mental Health Awareness & Wellbeing course will be provided to all Marlow crew, whilst a Mental Health Officer course will concentrate on the ship’s command.
The course aim to educate participants on understanding seafarers' mental health and wellbeing and how to respond in a crisis at sea.
“We appreciate the support of the Mission to Seafarers and ISCA in developing these two courses, which have been funded by the International Maritime Training Funds (IMTF),” said Training Director, Marlow Navigation, Joern Clodius.
Life at sea requires conversations. Like the sea, navigating emotions and talking about mental health takes courage, patience, and perseverance. Through the Mental Health Awareness and Wellbeing training programme, we are striving to promote open and empowering conversations amongst crew, so they may face and overcome challenges together.
