MARLOW PRE-DEPARTURE BRIEFING (PDB)

The PDB is a set of presentations and videos that cover various topics and issues related to the shipping industry. It is created to supplement the information given in the Assignment Specific Briefing (ASB).

Updated annually and available on the Ocean Learning Platform (OLP), it covers upcoming rules and regulations, the financial situation in the shipping industry, port state control inspection results, updates on Marlow Training activities, and other industry trends.

It also includes case studies of certain incidents selected based on customer feedback. These case studies are presented to prevent similar incidents from happening within the Marlow fleet.

All active crew members are required to complete the PDB course at least once a year. Once completed, crew members must issue their 'Verification of Training' certificate and send it to their agency for uploading. Further instructions for crew are available at the link below:
