Stargate Shipmanagement & charterer KESS conduct interactive seminar for Polish crew.

Earlier in May this year, senior officers and staff from Marlow Gdynia and Baltimex participated in a seminar organised by Bremen based managing owner of RoRo vessels, Stargate Shipmanagement and charterer KESS (K-Line European Sea Highway Services GmbH).

Overall, the seminar was very successful, involving a number of presentations, case studies and open discussions, offering a great platform to exchange ideas and experiences.

Lots of lively topics were covered during the day, including operational matters at sea, studying incidents and accidents and how to avoid them, various technical issues, various crew matters, certification in view of coming STCW 2010, and charterer’s requirements in cargo & claim matters, among other.

"It is fantastic to have such seminars organised for our Polish seafarers, helping to expand their professional knowledge and understandings, whilst also allowing for dynamic interaction. Our thanks go out to the organisers Stargate Shipmanagement and KESS, and to all senior officers who participated in the event," said Managing Director, Marlow Navigation Gdynia, Michal Wisniewski.

A second seminar is now planned for November in Szczecin, Poland.
