Marlow Navigation held a full management seminar at the group’s head office in Limassol, Cyprus on April 21-22.
Colleagues from technical management offices in Limassol, Hamburg and Rotterdam, as well as India attended the two-day event.
"Marlow’s full management seminar is an ideal forum of exchange that brings together colleagues from around the world to present and discuss important issues and trends in the maritime technical management sector," states Joint Managing Director, Marlow Navigation, Andreas Neophytou. "This year’s event was particularly important considering the fast changing, and challenging landscape."
The seminar covered a number of very important topics, including technical, dry-docking, purchasing and vendor management, safety and navigation, new technology and efficiency, maintenance systems and ship to shore communication.
There were also presentations on the Environmental Training Programme and third party management – challenges. The seminar came to clear conclusions and a work plan was developed to take various subjects forward.
