This growth comes from taking on new vessels in the group’s Cyprus division, as well as in the Netherlands.
"Despite prolonged periods of challenges in global shipping, we have managed to find new opportunities where we can provide our knowhow and years of experience to ship owners," states Joint Managing Director, Marlow Navigation, Andreas Neophytou. "Growth in our technical department reflects our company’s sustainable and transparent approach to ship management. No doubt this is further backed by our expertise and leading position in crew management, and specialised crew training," he adds.
Traditionally, Marlow Navigation has been a leading third-party crew manager, presently with over 1,050 vessels and approximately 14,000 crew on-board at any given time. Over the last couple of decades, the company has also seen good growth in full (technical) management, albeit gradual.
Marlow is participating as an exhibitor at Posidonia 2016, together with the Cyprus national stand to further boost Limassol’s position as a key ship management centre.
"We are glad to be here at Posidonia, no doubt one of the leading events in the global maritime industry," continues Neophytou. "This year’s event is particularly important considering the fast changing and challenging landscape."
